Hi all,

I want to ask about lightings, what should you get as brand?
what is the ideal poewr output to look at? say for indoors or outdoors what power in mid range should i think to get?
I would like to shoot portraits of one person to many [groups or event s in a Hall and so], and products with different sizes [can be a car itself] and some interior designs and so (commercial stuff and still life or macro), and outdoors or on Location in Day or Night time.
I want to use F8-F22 in some situations, and i love to keep my ISO as low as i can (50-200), shutter speed no problem but hope not less then 1/60 or 1/80 (preferrable 1/125-1/250 in most cases).

I'm a big fan of AlienBees. The ship anywhere if I'm not mistaken. Alien Bees

I use the AB400s (400 watt) and the AB800s (800 watts) which is quite powerful in a small portable unit.

What is your budget?

I use Dyna-lite flash units - They are only 400w but for location pics they are great - Never had a problem - Pretty reasonable and have been through the mill with no problems yet.

I like Alienbees, too. I'm new to the light scene and I ordered 2, 800 watt flash units. I have found them very easy to use for a beginner. They plug right into an outlet and you can order a battery pack to take them with you anywhere.
