Lets say I get an account at Shutterstock and iStockphoto. Can I put the same images into both sites?

I'm pretty sure you can but it's best to check the agreement on the sites you submit to.

Shutterstock does not have an exclusivity requirement.

Adam Riggs, CFO and COO of Shutterstock, discusses exclusivity and Shutterstock's position on it in detail here.

There is also some good information on how to increase stock sales, etc.

I have some of the same photos on 10 different micro sites. Some are approved on one site while the same photo is rejected. Still 90% of my photos are from my 3 megapixel cameras, others are crops from my *ist DS.

@ Kelvin : If you're not exclusive, you can. If it would be worth the trouble that's an other question. Most do get around 80% of their income from those two agencies.

On my site you can see a breakdown of both my income (page 0) and those of others (page 7)
