...jimi's off the market

i shot this for one of the weeklies i string for. jimi wanted to surprise his girlfriend, so, when she came to his art class to meet him for lunch, he had his class read her a poem, then he got down on his knee and popped the question...

..and she said, "YES!"

it was a kodak moment, brought to you by canon ;-)

oh ok. I thought it was a celebrity or something like that ;)

perfect timing. I can really imagine how this moment went on. and I think that's a great thing, when you can do that with just one single photograph. great!

You know what, that's so cool. :) That's a once in a lifetime memory that most brides would KILL to have.

Nice job Skip!

don't blame me, blame jimi ;-)

yes, it was truly a moment. everybody clapping and crying. his parents and grandparents had been hiding out in the hallway and they came in on it. gotta love those feel-good stories.

I am feeling weepy! I love great proposals. This one is among the best. Unconventional and really feel-good.

Some questions to consider...

What if she decided to say no? Do guys stage these elborate proposals hoping that embarrassment will keep their "girlfriends" (she's a woman, not a girl) from declining?

Where are the photos of women proposing to men, men to men, women to women? Is romance exclusive to heterosexuals? Why do people still romanticize marriage when it so frequently ends disastrously? Is the institution more important that the individuals?

Just wondering what everyone thinks.

I think thats so cool that he enlisted the help of the kids in his art class. hopefully those kids were taking notes for future reference. :)

that crossed my mind, but i was assurred that the outcome would be a foregone conclusion, that the only unknown was when to actually take the next step.
