Tim, most definitely the entered shot. The closer up view and crop work great together.

Here is the one I toyed with entering.


But stuck with this one - Was slightly surprised to receive 2 votes of 1 - I think just for technical alone it should maybe get a 3 at lowest - Some people took the match thing to literally - Even though the rules stated anything "Match" - I am not too worried about my score on this one but I have been looking at several great images from other photographers and am amazed who these people are who vote 1 - I think I have only ever done it twice and thats because both technical (Out of focus/underexposed) and not the right theme - Even this was a struggle but I feel if a pic is technically good a score of 1 is way off - Anyway sorry about the rant. Here is the pic I chose for the comp.

wish this had been extended editing, it was hard to keep one flame burning while the next was ignited (the power of ignition blew out the flame of the neighbour match) and impossible to keep one match still smoking
