Just out of curiosity, would anyone (especially the 12 one votes) change their vote if they could have seen my photographer's comments during the voting.
I am NOT Kvetching about my score. I honestly expected the photo to do far worse than it did. I just wonder if knowing that the statue is one of religious significance would have made any difference.
Here is the shot: Cailleach II
Thanks,

Not really... maybe you could have showed how this statue provided you with grace by using symbolism. For example... a shaft of light? A backlit halo effect? Some praying hands? A bible in the background? I think that the missing context has to be supplied in the photo and not in the comments.
I gave the photo a 4, as without the missing context it didn't seem very graceful. |

Hmm...interesting idea, but unfortunately none of those traditional religious symbols are appropriate for this Goddess :-D. |

To give 1 is not normal. I got for my "grace" 2 times "1". I give 1, when on the picture is nothing, it means there is only one colour.
But my problems with "Grace" voting was holy sculptures, I just do not like them mostly.
Shooting sculptures is very slippy thing generally, this same with still life challenge.

i didnt participate in the grace challenge or vote on it.
However i feel a different camera angle or more dramatic lighting/background would have made a big difference on the final image.
seeing the photographers comments on what the subject is during voting has no impact on me, title does count very little, but its the photo that really counts
