I was just curious.. the skin texture in both resemble the neatimage effect.

Picture #1 looks very detailed. Can you take my passport and drivers' license picture please.
Picture #2 is fine, but I don't really like the super soft focus effect used for portraits.
I prefer pictures that show details of the face a lot more then the soft focused ones. A slight bit is good but don't like when it's over done.
I know some subjects prefer them because they want their blemishes hidden or whatever, but that's what makes us individuals and different.
