We had a dramatic weather shift in Northern California as an Arctic low-pressure trough replaced 100+ temperatures with rain, hail, thunderstorms, etc. I've been working on trying to get better-quality shots of clouds ... these are all ones I took yesterday at a variety of sites around North Oakland as I went to work and ran errands.

I'll bump this one time with a couple of versions of a shot I took today; they are the same except for the crop. For the shots from last week, click the link in the first post.

I shot this one yesterday on my drive home from shooting my "Sacred" shot...

That's a great cloud formation! If you change the colors, you might make it look like there's a meteor or spaceship or something creating that great rift in the stippling.
Did you stop or were you on the move? It seems like about half my good shots are taken through the windshield (not this one) ...
I've been favoring square crops lately for some reason ... interesting that you like the one with basically just a bunch of additional dark blue sky.
