Congrats to Top 2006 Ribbon Winners!

Congratulations to the Top 5 Ribbon winners for 2006. A furious race was waged behind the scenes with stats being kept by myself and sent out to contestants via email. Some awesome work was done by these five (and many others on the list) who represent over 10% of all ribbons given out in 2006.

Tiebreakers were broken by number of blues followed by number of reds and then yellows. Thumbs to the ribbon winning shots are shown.

Wonderful photos all, and a great wide collection from all the top ribbon winners. Can't wait to see more in the future!

On a side note, I've always especially loved your work Larus, specifically your portrature stuff. While your landscapes are great, I think you really shine when you have some human element in there.

Great job everyone. I think some sort of nod should be made for

De Sousa who had 5 ribbons and four top 5 finishes for a total of 9. But he only entered 17 challenges!! His average though is only a measley 6.66, Lol. Congrats to everyone again.

I have been waiting for Shannon to overtake me the last couple of weeks so it feels good to have this over and done with, am going to take it easy for a while here at DPC as I am feeling a bit weary, kindof went full throttle there for the last quarter of 2006... Will probably only enter challenges that I am out shooting for anyway and the free studies for a while now :)

Just wanted to thank all the guys on that list for fierce photography this year and it would be great if Jason published the whole list since I know he has it available, maybe with links to the photographers profiles as well so people can check them out if they haven´t already?

Well if I had known you were going to come roaring back in the final month, I certainly would have made more of an effort! You had 5 ribbons in December while I only submitted 3 entries total. Next time warn me or something! ;-P

I'll post the list. Just remember that it may not be complete. The list was compiled beginning in June from people who had reported that at that time they had won 3 or more ribbons. Over time I would watch ribbon winners to see if they qualified, but this was all manual and not automated like anything Scott did. So if I missed you, sorry. I'm pretty sure the Top 10 is accurate and probably even the Top 20. Once you get into 3 ribbon winners I bet some are missing.
