I took some pictures of my nephew the other day and was hoping for some feedback. I'm a beginner really.

Thanks. :)

Photos here. Sorry in advance for the banner. : //minniedent.topcities.com/peterpics.html

He is so sweet...I am not the right person to comment on your pictures as I am as new here as you are, but the second photo seems rather noisy...

Wow, I'm not sure what happened HERE (motion blur, or blown out bright light, on the upper left), but I love it. The placementof the boy and horse off centre really works great. The color your chose really gives a nice feel to your picture.

Yeh the shot Jacko mentioned is great! It reminds me of the film "The Ring".

I have to agree on that shot, 2nd one.

If you look at the tv on the lower left, doesn't it look like a couple claws? Freaky.

Great shots, and welcome to Dpc!

I'm glad you all like that second shot. :) The lighting was bad in the room I took it in, so I had to play with it in photoshop which explains some of the noise. It was originally more grainy, but I despeckled/dust&scratched the background and kept my nephew and horse sharp. You can still see some of the original graininess to his left.

I'm not sure what you were pointing out Jacko, but if you'd like to see the original shot, it's here:

As you can see I had to clone out some cookie crumbs. ;)

Thanks so much for all of your feedback. :)

He is sweet. And I see what you're saying. It wasn't technically a very good shot to begin with, but I did what I could. I like his placement in the photo so much I tried to salvage it. :)
