How about a challenge for anything but flowers, sunsets and drops of liquid. Also not allowed are pets, especially cats, no matter how cute. Trees may be permitted, so long as they are not reflected in water or silhouetted against a dramatic sky. Black and white is also banned, unless recorded with a digital camera incapable of producing colour. :)

No. Quite the opposite.

Of course pictures of sunsets are colourful and marvelous, but the fact is that there are millions of them. They are so numerous that to create one that is exceptionally unique is an incredible feat. It seems more like drops in an overflowing bucket. Same goes to a lesser extent for kids, cats and flowers. And birds.

Blandness has roots in repetition. What I'm looking for is something I've never seen before.
