I just won an ebay auction for a new unopened 30D $956.00 Including shipping.

Sounds like a got a good buy, comes with the kit lens, which I guess is crap. Any input on the price I paid? Similar experiences?

Almost $150 less than I paid for one from Dell when they first came out but you got a lens and mine was body only. Not a bad deal.

Not places I would deal with based on their reseller ratings.

canon 30d CCI Camera City - Lifetime Rating: 0.38 / 10
canon 30d Royal Camera - Lifetime Rating: 1.39 / 10
canon 30d Banana Boat Camera - Lifetime Rating: 1.35 / 10

BananaBoatCamera: "All prices are after the manufacturer's rebates." - also read their info page - if you can get a 30D body for under $700, let me know how that works out for you. :)

Ya I am really scared of thoes places. Years ago I tried to purchase a sony DSC- F717 from a place like that and I had to call to confirm my order. Once I called they hit me up for like $500 of extras I didn't want and then they wouldnt even sell me the camera. It was insane.

Sounds real great...

haha lol wouldn't suprise me in the slightest :D Id rather get a $700+ camera from somewhere trustworthy with a warrenty, these people seem super shifty so no matter the price i wouldn't buy it from them. Find out that the small print says "By 'body' we of course mean case, it is completely empty, you will have to purchase the internals for twice what they should cost"

Avoid at ALL costs!

I had a friend who bought from one of the above and they don't send all of the contents and then charge you extra to get the remaining contents - that should have been included in the first place. And if you disagree, well they charge your credit card anyway. And then shout and blame you (or ignore your calls) until hopefully you back down or give up.
Please don't make the same mistake my friend did!
