That was with a video camera right?
Pretty awsome. I'm actually working on something kind of similar for my video class. What kind of camera did you use?

I used Nikon D50 but I guess any digital camera will do. Just set it on a tripod and take pics 1 after another; then make the stills into a movie at 24 frames per second; there are many softwares that can do this. Good luck on your project!

Did you use Nikon Camera Control for that or push the shutter manually over and over and over...?

It really is nice work. How long did you shoot each scene for?

It seems way too dark.

I used the nikon wireless remote. I guess Nikon Capture camera control would've been great but there's no way I'm taking a laptop with me out there lol. And each scene was roughly btwn 10-15 minutes.

For real, the only real detail i see in some of the scenes are the car lights.

Download the .mov file - WAY better. You can tell it's not done with a video camera from the .mov, very clean and very good detail.

What you do is keep the laptop in your backpack and just run the usb cable out of it. Nikon Camera Control does a beautiful job of time lapse and makes life so much easier. Now I just wish there was something worth time lapsing around here ;)
