My whole page is screwed up and everything is out of place. Everytime I try to attach photos I keep getting an add-on message. It also keeps freezing and shuts completely down.

Anyone have any advice for settings???

Windows 7.0?

ps: check your e-mail

oh IE7. I have had some minor issues but nothing major or nothing like this. Did you install it directly from Microsoft?

I haven't had any problems with the new IE7. Maybe your IE7 got corrupted already somehow? (partial download/virus/adware/etc)

I worked tech support for a software company at one point in time, and I learned a quick way to tell if your IE is corrupt. Look at the version # in Help > About Internet Explorer. A corrupt IE will not show a version #.

It takes 5 seconds to do, and might be worth a look.

I've had no problems either. It's about the only thing on my computer that isn't giving me problems.

I love the way favourites works in the new version. Saves so much time if you use it a lot.

ehem Firefox... sorry... I must admit that IE7 is kinda cool. Haven't done much playing with it yet though, but had no problems with it so far.

When I downloaded it... when I went to open a new tab... it would automatically shut down the program every time... got rid of it and went back to 6

thats what its doing to me and it keeps asking about add-ons and wanting me to use active X which i never had to do all this before. I ried to see if it was corrupt but i cant even find the Help tab or menu...the only Help i found was for the google toolbar.

Go up to the menu bar and right click, then select "menu bar" from the pop up and you should get the usual "File.....Help"

Click on the double arrows in the upper right corner. It should bring out another tab with Help being one of the options. Click Help and then About Internet Explorer.

I'm not sure but I think IE7 really screwed my computer up bad. Ever since installing it my system locks-up, and crashes several times a day. I'm really getting tired of re-booting. I even tried to re-install, no help. Since my dsl is through AT&T it is a Yahoo version. Looks like time for a reformat and clean install. I hope it doesn't return, this is crap and I really have enjoyed the improvements in Windows. Sorry Mac guys and gals, not mad enough to consider changing, far too much equipment and software now.

I have had no problems at all with the new IE7 (mine was also a Yahoo download). I test my high speed from time to time I was averaging around 800kbs before IE7 and now am around 950kbs. Not sure if I can credit IE7 for that, but its the only things that has changed.

I downloaded from Yahoo and have had problems. Seems like my computer is ALOT slower and some pages quit loading half-way through or don't load at all!!

Given the wide variety of problems expressed here, is it possible the problems are hardware related? In relation to IE7 that is. I haven't downloaded it yet, but I'm wondering if it's more of a system resource hog than IE6 was? If you're using a PC with less memory and a shallow hard drive IE7 could be bogging your system down.

Just a thought.

I really hate it when people do this. If they choose to use IE then let them. Don't push a product on them if they don't wish to use it.

Someone please tell me to buy Nikon so I can tell you the shut the hell up!!!!!

.

Did you try to reinstall it? Go here:

//www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx

It doesn't appear to be an IE7 issue since many of us here are using it successfully with DPC.

Does anyone choose to use IE? or do they just eventually choose to stick with it? ;-)

Anyway, buy a Nikon... Canon's suck...

PS, I'll take that horrible 30D off your hands.

I use it and haven't had any problems. I would also suggest reinstalling. Make sure to turn off any spyware programs before doing so.

I have FF AND IE7, but I happen to like IE7 better. No particular reason, it's just a preferance thing.

I had the same problem about IE locking up when opening new tabs. First, I deleted it, went to MS's website, downloaded it again, made some minor changes in tools>internet options>advanced and have had NO problems since. If you don't think your getting your answer here, try IE7's forum.

LOL - but you are right :)

I also have IE7 and don't have any problems, but let me knock on some wood - if I can find some)

I just put in a gig of memory and am sooooo happy!

No problems here. Now that IE7's out, I like it better than Firefox and WAY better than IE6!
