I would like to get a new photo printer and so many to choose from
please if you can give me some of the better ones to look at and why
I am willing to spend up to $400.00
please any info would be great

There should be enough to help you there for the 400 dollar range.
If it were me, I'd go for an Epson with K3 (3 blacks).
Haven't done much research on the new HP technology, but I'd say the Epson is still probably the best bet in that price range. |

Personally I would go for the Canon IP4300
I have been using this since it came out and I just love it. I no longer go out for any prints for customers that are smaller then 8.5X11. The print quality is amazing using Ilford and Epson paper. Good luck with your choice.

| I was just cruising around Amazon and saw the Canon I-9900 for $399.95 and remembered this thread. It's the cheapest I've seen this one out there for. It's a top notch printer, and the reviews are great. Prints up to 13"x19". |

i have this printer and have been completely totally satisfied with all of the prints i've thrown at it. 13x19 capability is so awesome
