Someone told me yesterday that it does, but I've dug around and don't see it..... anyone able to help?

Digital Photo Pro. The raw-handler that comes with EOS cameras.

Under "Adjustment" there's an entry for "Dust Delete Data" but it's not selectable for my camera. I think this may only be for the 400D and future cameras.

Does anyone make a utility or plug-in where you'd take a photo of a white card (like you would to check sensor dust) and the utility would create a "dust map" and correct your photos? Or does the dust patern on the sensor change too much?

I don't even have that... maybe because I'm still running version 1.6.1
I should upgrade it.

Try the stamp tool in DPP to delete dust.
