I'm buying a camera for my mom. It needs to cost between $500-700...

What can you recommend?

I'm really attracted to these three:

//www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_s80.asp
//www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Ricoh/ricoh_caplior4.asp

Thanks

Of those choices, I'd go with the S80 personally. But the SD700 is very nice also. Both are quality cameras and make quality images. The S80 goes wider, and that's a plus. The SD700 is image stabilized and a little less complex to operate, which might be better for your mom, I don't know.
