I've only been a member for a few weeks now, but I feel like I've learned a lot and grown since I've been here in just that short time. I've become pretty inspired by many of you here, but I feel I've kind of hit a wall or at least slowed in my progression... I do need to keep reading and learn some more rules, BUT I was really hoping to get some feedback on some of my latest photos...

Negitive, or I should say constructive feedback is very welcome. I just need some feedback that will help me get pushed over the next hump in my learning.

I know these feedback posts probably get old, but I appreciate the time!

I really like #3 and #5, but they're all very nice. By the way, that's where I live. :-)

Look Familiar? :-)

I love the water ones, left a couple comments with the shots, the two 'green' ones have less interest to me, I feel they are lacking a real focal point. The building one i think has potential, try some different cropping.
The water ones, really are fabulous, great silky feel.

Where abouts do you live? I grew up in montour Falls. Now that I've been away for so many years I've grown to appreciate the area a lot more. Growing up with so many amazing things in your back yard, it's easy to become complacent!

My parents house is left and slightly above the Montour Falls Bridge, and they own a bunch of the surrounding land, which is where I've gotten lots of great pictures. If your ever looking for some good/different shots and are adventurous they are pretty friendly!

I live just outside of Burdett but work at your old school (assuming you went to O-M?). It is a beautiful place to live. I've really started noticing it more since I began taking pictures back in March. I took some pictures of She-qua-ga Falls a few weeks ago but they are on my film camera so I don't know what they'll look like. I just 'found' the shutter speed function on that camera. My digi doesn't have it.

Your parents must have a beautiful view up there! I took this shot of the stream right next to their house! Thanks for offering your parents view. I'm sure they are very nice people - I'm way too shy to ever ask though! :-)

Feel free to go up, they don't mind sharing their view at all as long as people ask. We get a lot of people in the summer time who stop and ask to go swimming. That swimming hole offers lots of nastalga for some people...

There is a trail on the left side of the creek that goes a ways up. There are a few safe places to come down and take pictures, and some very sweet hidden shots a ways up!

I'll mention something to them just in case you change you mind, just tell em Russ said you could stop by :)

You have some good stuff there. Maybe needs a little work on some. I also left some comments on some of the photos. Glad to have you aboard.

Wow, that's super nice of you Russell! Thank you. You never know, I might just do that some day. :-)

I love the pictures of the falls you took. I want to play around with shutter speed some more, myself. It may rain tomorrow, and that would be great to get the falls flowing again. If so, and Monday is nice, I plan on driving around - up through the gov't land and around to the different waterfalls; Taughannock Falls, and to some in Ithaca. The leaves are really starting to get beautiful now. If I get anything decent I'll share them with you.

Thanks again for the offer. :-)
