well the sb-800 will fire it with more range...

and they made an SU-800 or something that'll do it ... it's just the commander unit, but last time i checked only available with that whole creative macro lighting kit.

Are you keeping the flash pointed properly so that it's facing the camera's port and on the same side (ie. lens not blocking that little port)???

just looked up that su-800, they sell it seperate, but it says it's for use for multiple camera's or something along those lines?

and the flash is pointed properly i believe, but its still a little weak

How far are you wanting to put the flash from the camera?

I've never had a problem with mine. Anything wider than like 14mm or so and you're probably out of the range, but that's pretty wide, and in that case, your flash isn't doing much for the viewing area anyway.

The SU-800 maybe fits multiple cameras, but you stick it on your hot shoe. Look up the specs...it beats the SB-800 as far as range, and the SB-800 beats the commander mode as far as range by a lot.
