I know this is a photography forum, but I am getting desperate. I got an unexpected week off work and booked a trip to Amsterdam, October 21-28. Only problem now is that I am finding it almost impossible to find a place to stay for the first night, at least something in my budget which is very low. Are there any DPC'ers that know of any places or would be willing to house me, just for the night? Amsterdam, Den Haag, Delft, and surrounding area is also okay.

Thanks for any help,
Ryan

Stayokay

I've been in Haarlem at a Stayokay hostel, it's great! Vey good atmosphere, and not too expensive (30 euros for 1 night & breakfast)

good luck, I hope there's still an open spot for you!

hey by the way, on October the 21st we have a GTG in Amsterdam!!! Amsterdam GTG II

I will join the GTG if I have time, but I will be late, my flight does not arrive until 2:30 in the afternoon. How far is Haarlem from Amsterdam? I know that the Stayokay does have room in Haarlem, but I was really wanting to be in Amsterdam on Saturday if i was staying at a hostel. I am going on my own, and am wanting to find some people to hang out with in Amsterdam too.

Go to the tourist office near Amsterdam train station, they'll be able to get you a room for the night at short notice, i've done it both times i went to Amsterdam.

Have fun ;-)
