I just love it!

Thank goodness for defiance! I dont want to imagine this country without people like Rosa Parks and all the others who stood up for thier rights. this is sad and inspiring all at the same time.

edit: well I TRIED to keep it to one fav. but since someone else posted runner up I cant resist: I have no idea how these two photos only have fav.'s from me.
I'm responsible for a fair share of those views.
I've told her before but I'll say it again. she is truely the coolest chick I know!

I think there are way to many that fit the bill of favorite on any given day but to me this one stands out almost every time I look at some of my favorites.
Jutilda took a simple subject and turned it into a work of Photographic art. The slope of the shoulders, the shag like hair and the perfect balance that can be achieved combining sensuality and surroundings using lighting and color.
If I saw this on any book cover, I'd browse.
Oh... and she's a very COOL person as well!

I tried SOOO hard to narrow it down to one but I felt I just HAD to show my two runner ups as well:

SINGLE FAVOURITE:

This image blows me away every time I see it and I still can't fathom why National Geographic aren't round at the photographer's door begging her on bended knee to shoot for them...

RUNNERS UP:

Both choices are heavily influenced by my own passions, my own interests and opinions... I adore wildlife, I love to see it in it's natural habitat and it breaks my heart to witness how we, as a species, disregard it's rampant loss... the first image speaks to my emotions and despair about the issue though, because of the lively step in that elephant calf, it has a positive, hopeful element to it too... the other allows me to just revel in the sheer beauty of the species we share our planet with...

There are another 4 or 5 that I would dearly love to share with you as the margin that sets them behind the three above is so very marginal but since I accept I've already stretched the bounds of the thread, I'm resisting...

It's pretty much impossible to choose between so many great photos, especially when they are all so different from one another. At the moment,

appeals to me most.

Only? Guess I'm heavy-handed at 517 (or is that heavy mouse-clicky) - is clicky a wurd?

I loved this one. But it was disqualified (maybe from blue, cannot remember anymore), wrong date. The thumb is the only thing that is still on dpc. You can click it, but it leads nowhere.
