Create an action to do it. After you create the action, go to:
File--->Automate---->Batch

See if that works for ya. I had asked about how to turn a whole folder of pics to black and white. It worked for me.

First you have to create a new resize action in photoshop.
Open the Actions palette. Click on the "new set" button, Open an image that you wanna resize, then click on the "create new action" button. Name your action and press "record". Go "image" - Image size - and type in the new size eg. 640 px width and 72 ppi resolution. In the actions palette click stop.
Now you can access the automatic batch function. Click file - automate - batch. Select the folder containing the images you'd like to resize, select the resize action and specify the destination folder. Be careful not to make the source folder and destination folder the same as you'll lose all your hi-res images.
Click OK and your batch will be processed. Try this on a test folder with images that are not important to you to make sure it works ok.

Hope this helps!

I thought I'd add that you can also create one action to fit a photo to say 640 on the longest side no matter if its portrait or landscape oriented by creating an action and going to "file/automate/fit image" and then enter what you want the longest side to be in both fields there. Then go back and batch process that whole folder. Before I knew about this I used to separate portraits from landscapes into separate folders and run a batch on each folder. Hope that makes sense.
