Haven't been able to find anything in the news online yet, but I got a shot of a fire somewhere near Port Angeles this evening, as seen from the southeast tip of Vancouver Island...will post more shots if any better ones turn out as I process them. It's been really dry around here, forest fires are all too common. Was pretty pleased with this one, though...some dodging and burning, and cloned some floaties.

Nice shot.
Was this with a wide angle lens or a panorama?

It was handheld (going to get a good tripod soon...) with the 50mm 1.4 at 1/50th, F/6.3, ISO 100. Took a lot of 'em at different settings but this one worked out the best. Cropped (obviously) mostly just the top and bottom. Having 6 megapixels and a good lens is great for the cropping, I've noticed. I also took some shots with the 28 2.8 I got last week but it was just too far away.
