I'm so excited! I just found out today that the two photos that I submitted to a juried art show were both accepted! This is the first time I've ever tried anything like this and I'm finding it hard to believe that my pictures are actually going to be on public display! The show is an annual event called ArtWalk in which all of the chosen works are displayed in the storefront windows in the town center. The event gets a lot of publicity including a big write up in a special supplement of The Hartford Courant, which is my state's main newspaper.
Yippee! These are the two photos-

And now that I'm on a roll, I'm also planning on submitting some more photos to an upcoming show at my town's Art League gallery. The show is just for portraits, all different media. I think I've narrowed it down to five choices, and I can submit up to three. I would love to get some input as to which are the best, and would look the best together. Thanks!

Congrats! Great pictures. Of the 5, I like 2, 4, and 5 the best, but they are all wonderful. Quite a little model you have there.

Thanks! And I'd love to hear more opinions on the portrait choices. I need to make a decision soon and get them framed... :)

I also like 2, 4 and 5.
4 is my absolute favorite!

I'm not fond of the scrunch in the forehead on one.
Oh and congrats on the show!

As a father of two young beautiful Eurasian daughters, who are very photogenic, I always have a concern that such unlimited photographic exposure is risky in some way. But then again, I live in NYC.

Of the series, #5 is my favorite, followed closely by #4.

What I think is interesting is that between #4 and #5 she almost looks like two different girls. #4 looks young and innocent. #5 looks older, more mature and with more attitude. Very interesting!
