It isn't completely finished yet but I designed it all from scratch.

The image on the "contact" page is going to be different as soon as I get around to taking a picture of a cell phone in the dark with the numberpad glowing.

Also can you comment on the pricing.

Thanks to all of you - all comments appreciated.

It looks very professional though I would expect to be able click on the different categories to find images of a particular type rather than have to go to the portfolio to find those images.

Just a thought.

This sounds wrong;

"I can meet any graphic design needs you have through my colleagues. They know how to work with my images specifically to meet your print or digital needs."

Just say "Graphic design services available" - or something similar.

It looks sleek overall.

However, with my view, the dark blue text on the black background is almost unreadably dark.

I also find myself wanting to click the text on your main page image.

So far so good. I wouldn't mention the collegues being the one to do the design work. Make it look like your providing the service, which you are.

I'm not actually the one doing the design but I get your point...look like I'm getting it done for the customer rather than referring them.

Thanks a lot, I'll change that.

Anyone else have trouble viewing the blue text?

That bothers me - I like it, but if its hard to view then I've gotta change it.

Hi Kevin. Did you change the blue? I don't have any problems reading any of your text. I love the front page - it's very striking and I think a great choice. I also wanted to click on the items on the left, but I'm not sure how you get around that. (Make them clickable, or look less like a menu?)

Great job!

Haven't changed the text yet. I'm thinking about ways to alter that main image. I'm going to try and have my graphic designer friend take a shot at it and perhaps he can blend it more or find a different way to display it.

You could use the main image as an image map which would allow clicking on parts of it.

If I'm the only person who finds the dark blue on black hard to read then fair enough, though my monitor is normally ok for dark images, and there are folk who struggle with low-contrast text.

Looks ok... Here are the things that bug me:

- The menu text. It looks pretty unprofessional too me. In the heading it looks like you used Palatino, then in the main image it looks like Tahoma or Trebuchet. Finally for the menu is a childish font. Perhaps sticking with one font would look more professional.

- In the portfolio section, the background of the flash program isn't black. There is a clear distinction from it and the website's background. I'm not sure this was intention, but I think it would look better if it were pure black. Also, you'll need to replace the text that says "SimpleViewer Title" with "Kevin Geary's Portfolio" (or something).

- I can see the blue text fine, but again there is a clash with the rest of the site. Most of the text is white, and on the homepage there are grays and purples. Then these pages use blue and orange. Might want to pick 2 primary colors and stick with them.

My $0.02

I have taken all those into account. The portfolio simpleviewer was under construction while you were viewing it...it is now up and running with black background and adjusted title.

I am still working on figuring out what I want to do with the main image page.

Thanks for your input.

your website is pretty nice... but I still believe that you can do better than this...

Another thing, I just flipped through your portfolio and you have some very nice images there. You probably don't want to pigeon hole an image into one category or another however, having all the images in one large portfolio could prove very frustrating for those looking for a specific type of image.

Nice easy to flow through... but as other people have stated, wherever there is colored text, I'm trying to click it LOL.

On the "Contact" page, change "Body" to "Comments" for the text entry area. Just my 2 cents. :) Otherwise, great job!

I like the simpleviewer interface.

Lots of fonts - too many really. I agree that the blue text look like links - would be better to redesign the font and colour or make them into subject specific gallery links.
