I'm not sure what comment I can make, Jeff, apart from to say how much I enjoyed browsing through your galleries. The low angles and what I assume is a reasonably wide angle lens adds interest to portraits that could have been staid publicity shots otherwise. Judging from the celebrity of many some of your models, I'm guessing you don't need me to tell you you've got talent :)
Was the Matthew Marsden shot taken in a studio? The lighting seems a little too perfect for thebeach.
How did you manage to convince Charles Mc Dougall to take that dip in the pool? :)
The crtiscism I can think of in the portraits section is I don't think the low angle and sun are very flattering in the Julie Fleeting shot. Having looked through your features shots, the distortion effect of the wide angle lens works most of the time, but sometimes its a little too much.
For the Katrina shots, the wide angle lens couldnt be bettered, and the raw emotion you have captured must have put you in some uncomfortable situations. Speaking of Katrina, Spike Lee's forthcoming movie looks to be a damning inditement of how the whole the emergency was handled.
For me, the Katrina shot of the bunch is the huge crowd being held back by barriers and what I assume are National Gaurdsman. It shows the enormity of the situation. Thanks for the opportunity to take a look at your images. |
