Hi I haven't been here for a long time. I finally got my digital camera. Can't unload it until I have a USB port installed on my computer this coming week. I am looking forward to being able to post photos here and to learn more about digital photography. Hi Sonja, Karma, Mieka, Ursula.

Chris: I see by your profile that you are in Northern california. How far north? are you on the coast?

My computer would not accept the USB port. My son will have to download my camera for me on his computer whenever he gets around to it.

An option to check out.
For most memory cards you should be able to get a Parrallel Port card reader. They may be less common now with the introduction of USB but perhaps e bay might list?

I am also new here. I am enjoying this site alot. I can't wait to get up in the morning to see if anyone else has voted on my photo. Not doing too good only 3+ for this challenge (at rest). Oh well, I just wish there were comments to tell me what I did wrong. It is called Deep in thought if I have done anything wrong with this photo can you please let me know. Thanks Lentil.

I am getting a new computer so I don't have to worry about how I am going to unload my camera. Been taking a few photos. and Have to figure out how to join here so I can post them when I get the camera unloaded. I can't wait, I am so excited.
How do I go about rating the photos in the chalenges?

I am trying to get used to my camera and realize that I am making many mistakes along the line. The first two challenges I have entered have both negative and positive comments. I really appreciate the suggestions and encouragement of those of you who have tried to help me by making positive comments, however, the negative comment that used simulated profanity is not welcome. So please those who do used tha ttype of language please cease. There are Christians on this site who do not care for that sort of thing. Thank you.

The likelihood of the commenter seeing your request here is low, you'd be better off messaging them privately.

There are probably some other people on this site who aren't Christians who don't like profanity as well. What does someone's religious affiliation have to do with disliking profanity?
