Most of my top picks placed high or ribboned this time. Hooray!

I did have these pegged to place a little higher than they did however.

- 26th
- 80th
- 158th

Anybody else have some surprises in the way the results ended up?

Please, not including your own. ;^)

I thought this one should have placed a lot higher.

Great shot!

Any other personal top picks out there that didn't quite make the cut for the Action Shot II challenge?

I was so sure that this one would win. Terrrriffic shot!

I want a good explanation why this wasn't one of the winners?

I can not believe this. I usually don't complain other people's photos and all, but this is underrated written all over it...

GRRRR :(

Although the winner is good, this is every bit as good or better ... well done!

I thought these three would be in the top 5

Yep. I had that one picked for my top ten also...

...but since it ended up 15th didn't think it was too far off the mark or underrated so to speak.

edit to add image thumb.

Along with most of the photos already posted, I loved these two and really thought they would have finished higher.

y'all missed the most underrated photo in the challenge (must have something to do with why it was so underrated):

Here are some I thought would be higher

44th voters must have been looking for more athletic action, thats all I can think of
59th I know it has alot of distracting elements for most people, but I thought all the other photographers taking shots in the photo made it more interesting
41st probably the same reason as my first example for not a higher placement

I didn't vote on that challenge, but I looked through a few. That's the one that caught my eye and I couldn't wait to figure out how it was done. Glad to see it didn't do too shabby.

On a side note. I think photos that seem like more than basic editing suffer, because people don't remember to vote as if it were all legit and let the people in charge figure out if it's real or not. If it doesn't look legal people tend to take it upon themselves to score it low even though it might actually be great creativity.
