a question...

i remember when i had my pc and cs1, that I could make raw ajustments through cs1. Now I have it for mac, and I dont have the raw editor...

Am I missing something?

You may need to download the RAW update from the Adobe website.

The Camera Raw plugin should definitely be part of the standard install, so if you are missing that, you may be missing lots of stuff. Look in teh Photoshop menu, under About Plugins.

Anyway, if you need to download it: //www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2705

Ok I am noticing now that I am missing a lot of things. Half of my filters dont work, and I cant convert to duotones... Is there a place to download those types of things?

Is your copy legal or did you copy it from someone you know / download the whole program from the internet. It doesn't sound like this should be happening if you have a legit copy.

PS CS1 and CS2 require activation. Partial functionality due to legitimacy shouldn't be an issue.

My guess is the problem has NOTHING TO DO with camera raw functionality. Keep in mind that only certain filters are available in certain modes. Check to make sure you're in RGB/8 or CYMK/8 and not some obscure mode that disables half the filters.

EXAMPLES: If you are in LAB color, you'll lose about 1/3 of your filters. If you're in Multichannel, you'll lose about 1/2. If you're in RGB/16, you'll lose about half. In CYMK/16, about 2/3's of all your filters disappear! In almost all those examples, DUOTONE is not an option. Go to IMAGE | MODE | RGB Color, then go to IMAGE | MODE | 8 Bits / Channel. This should fix the problem.

Ed: Added examples.

try uninstalling it, download trial version from Adobe and use your serial number to validate it, then use adobe updater to update photoshop, download the newest raw converter and other available updates.

and after that, open diskutility and run repair permission, that should fix your problem.

DON'T DO THAT YET!! Go back and read the examples I added to my previous post. I'm betting that's where your problem lies. If that fails, try the reload, but I REALLY doubt a reload will fix a problem like this (with all due respect to the last poster)
