I was surprised at the end results for these, thought they would have placed higher.

- 113th
- 146th
- 108th

Anybody else pick some to finish higher than they did - other than your own? ;^)

I think the green on green foliage shots were probably less impressive to voters because (a) we just finished a Flower challenge, which is a bit too related and (b) it was a sort of cop out since green on green with foliage is way too easy and way too obvious.

Photos from my Top Ten that somehow didn't even break the Top Twenty.

Wouldn't that hold true for flower shots then also? ;^)

Yep. I didn't say that I held the green/flower thing to be true in my own voting. I happen to like well done flower shots ;-)

I thought this would have been top 10 at least

but it was an exceptionally tough challenge.

Awwww....thanks so much! I worked really hard on this shot, because a) I suck at studio-type shots that involve anything other than light from the sun, and b) I really, really, really wanted to have a score above a 6 again...it's been a dry spell. ;) I'm tickled pink! :)

and how was I the only person to give this a 10? It's very cute and hip.

With the catch light in the eye and the overall feeling and emotion of the image, I thought this was in the top 10 for sure:

Also, I loved this picture as well:

My two favorites didn't even crack the top 25.

I kinda thought this one would place better.

(I also thought my entry was totally overrated. What the heck, people?)

Thanks Karen! Glad you liked it. I kinda figured voters wouldn't feel it met the challenge as well as most others.
