I'm pretty much new at photography and using photoshop, this site is great for tutorials and tips for using such programs and it has helped me a lot with my photography so far.

I have this photo which unfortunately has a bit of lens flare in the top left corner, and although I can crop it out, I would kind of like to retain the overall size and dimensions. Sorry if this is a bit of an ignorant question, I'm new here to the forums... is there a way in which it can be edited out?

Thanks in advance!

Can you clone it out? Or select it and neutralize it with levels? These are two useful methods that come to mind.

The healing brush might work depending on how strong the flare is.

If it's in an area with little other detail cloning it out would be fairly simple.

Remember that removing the lens flare may not be legal for entries.

Thanks for the suggestions. It's too large an area for me to clone it (maybe someone with more ability could but as I said, I'm a bit of a beginner), but the healing brush is working great. Thanks a lot! :D

edit: yep, I'm not planning to use it for an entry in anything, jsut for my personal collection.
