What a challenge this one will be. First challenge is to interpret life, let alone think of something that represents that interpretation and photograph it. This could be fun.

Just make sure to take a picture of the monitor and something else too. We could see a reprise of the pregnancy test as well, although perhaps re-titled.

Or perhaps, black bear at night, retitled "before the life begun"...

I was talking to Jacko the other day and said he'd be ribboned if this weeks challenge was 'Life' or some such as his new baby is due today. I should have kept my mouth shut.

Actually, I think what I said was that I hope it's Life so I can kick a year long string of 4.1 ish baby pictures for the challenges.

Respiration, at least that's what the biology profs always defined it as. Now that means anything from below the cellular level up to a California Redwood tree, so spiders and flowers qualify.

Unfortunately, my wife's next ultrasound isn't until the 23rd of September, just a week late for the life challenge. Plus, based on the fact that we're hoping to find out the sex of the baby, I hope the next ultrasound pictures will explicitly violate the nudity limits set by the site, and would therefore be disqualified anyway.

By the way, Spider's aren't life. At least not in my house. If I see it, it's dead right away.

Surely if an ultrasound was sbmitted, the award and credit would go to the radiographer...? ;)

A little poem I wrote about life...

The Law of Mortality

Death is the essence of life.
Life is the essence of death.
Without life, there is no death.
Without death, there is no life.
This is the Law of Mortality.
All shall come into being under this law.
(Violaters of this law are punishable by death.)

Hey Steve,

I did that on the "Technology" challenge, lots of great love comments from fellow DCers, but a very low score. Van

Its good - after all the pointless threads about definitions, we've finally got one on an interesting topic. All these people discussing the meaning of life - it is enlightened!

Oh - just picking it appart - oh, never mind....
