There have been lots of memberships given away on dpc and I applaud those that have gone before me.

I will shortly receive my 10,000th profile view and to celebrate this momentous occasion I'd like to give a non member 12 months of heartache hitting the update button. Who will receive this free membership? how do you qualify?

Simply enter either of the open challenges that start on July 18th and the highest score from a non member will receive 12 months membership from me - 2 challenges but the highest score gets the prize (unless another nice member wants to offer another membership?)

I swear that I had nothing to do with artificially pushing Andi over 10,000, and I did NOT click on his profile link 21 times in a row, or thereabouts.

Regardless of Steve and his itchy finger (I worry that he likes me so much) I'm well over the 10,000 profile views now and looking forward to giving a years membership away to the highest scoring non member from the 2 challenges. Am still asking if anybody wants to give a membership to the highest non member score from the other challenge ;)

well, I had to do somthing to get my mouse off the update button for a while that night. :P

I would give the other membership, but I don't have the extra $$ this week.. :(

You rock, Andi! I hope the winner deserves your generosity!

Cheers Cindi, and Steve, you don't need the $$'s for a couple of weeks so I guess I can count you in for the other winner? (some peer pressure would help).

LOL, I'll talk to the finance commitee, but we really are pretty strapped.

Glad your on board wavelength but, the rules for these free memberships are;

1: The highest scoring 'non payed up member' in each challenge will receve a free 12 month membership.

2: background checks will be made but you are not allowed physical contact with them ;)

After grabbing the 5th place in Progress challenge, I thought things can’t get any better ;). It looks like they can, thanks to such great people (especially Ecce Signum, wavelength and brizmama(which I guess is wavelength’s finance committee)). Therefore, I applaud their kind gesture and accept it as a great encouragement.

To keep the game going, I pledge on celebrating their (Ecce Signum, wavelength and brizmama) first next ribbon with a one year membership as well. In case of concurrent ribbons, the better color ;) precedes the higher score.

P.s.: Congrats to JeffryZ, the other membership winner whose great talent I happen to know from KonicaMinolta Challenges at pbase.com

I'm a bit behind on 'stuff' will sort out the membership for Jeffry tomorrow. Adrian did you know the pair of you have the 1st and 2nd highest scoring shots here at dpc with your A200's? and Wavelength was over the moon as he used to own one!

I didn’t know that. I was actually starting to believe something is wrong with the camera ;) … of course, just to convince myself to buy a new one (I have my eyes on Sony’s new A100, whose Image Stabilization I dream to pair with a 50mm F1.7 and go shoot in low light, handheld).

Back to my A200, I have to say it’s quite amazing. I need to do it some justice and finally find some time to post-process my photos (I barely had time to crop, resize and save my challenge entries as I “manage” to start shooting one hour before deadline)

This is great of you guys to do this! I am thrilled with my best score ever. I was just hoping to have something in the A200 top ten with Wavelength. It is a great little camera and to compare results with people using DSLRs is also great. We will have to hold up our end from now on! Too bad Konica has sold out to Sony. Interesting that both of your winners used the same camera! Now I will be able to enter some of the other Member Challenges.
