Does anyone else find themselves in this situation -- I often times do not have the time to take a picture to submit to a challenge because of the short time limit. In fact most times which really irks me because I have pictures that I could use for any of these challenges but just not in the time frame. I have a great picture for insects but I took it 2 days before the challenge date.
I wish I could do more challenges but unfortunately I basically work 2 jobs and am very busy. However, I do learn a lot by seeing all the photos in the challenges and by browsing. I can and have learned a lot just from viewing other peoples work. My list of favorites is very long.

You can always post them in your portfolio and ask for comments on shots you made. Usually someone will give comments.

This past week I went and commented on pictures from people's portfolio. I just went to the browse link and clicked a subject or see who's online and look through their portfolio and drop a comment or two. Found some favorites this way.

I know how you feel. With my hours at work, and all the other stuff that I need to be getting done, I find little time to set up/take pictures. Part of my biggest problem is being able to set up a picture. I spent three hours, three precious hours running around town trying to find what I needed for the "oops" challenge, which I ended up having nothing to show for. It's discouraging seeing a challenge come up and having the greatest idea for it, but not the time or resources to make it happen.

I am more prone to look and find my subjects rather than set them up. I think I get pretty lucky alot of times and just come across something and it is spur of the moment.
like my very first challenge entry for Despair.

I understand. I've missed out on many challenges, working 48 hour weeks and often I'm too drained creatively to set up shots even when the ideas come into my head. I carry my Olympus everywhere though, and if I'm lucky I'll find the shot I need for a challenge.

I'm the opposite... I lack things to do and sometimes wish challenges were daily! =P

I'm totally obsessed with these challenges. My whole family tries to help me with their suggestions. My photos may not be perfect, but I've learned a whole lot from critiques and other's photos. I appreciate this site very much.

That's why I decided to do the Picture of the day thing. Nothing else to do but make comments inbetween the hourly refresh button mashing.
