Above thumbnail links directly to photograph in your portfolio. If you want to know how to do that yourself you can find out here:

The picture is very nice. Floral lighting is great, lavender tones and floral detail good and the soft focused green background compliments the overall composition well.

Your composition is very typical of flower pictures and that is an area you can improve.

One thing you can do to spruce up floral images is to carry a spray bottle around with you and mist it with water drops for added compositional interest. Also taking pictures from different angles and perspectives can set your flower pictures apart from other more common angles like yours. Some photographers like to photograph flowers in their studios where they can control arrangement, light and shadow to create unique floral images.

Thanx for all the advice, i try not to be typical, looking for different angles and try to find what is the best angle to set off individual difference, i do not like studio, it is not natural ;) that is just me though, some day maybe i will expand, but right now, i try to utilize natural lighting in the natural environment with different angles, and with this, the bud in front is not usual, at least with the iris i have planted all over the place here! :)
i appreciate the review, it does make one think about different perspectives.
i tried to check the box for helpful remark, but there is no enter button, for it, and i am not sure it shows up that i marked the review helpful that was posted at the picture thread.
thanx for this review.

I'm moving this to the 'individual photograph discussion' area, since this area is designated for the Critique Club discussion only. For more information on the critique club. please see What is the Critique Club?

I'm surprised that forum section is visible to non-critique members anyway?

Yeah, Lang mentioned making it 'CC members only', however, I posted my disapproval for a couple reasons. First, the CC threads, are mainly what recruit new members. What if a non member wants to discuss/thank someone for a CCC? The CC affects both members, and non members alike, so I think it's important not to limit it to JUST CC.
Lang just mentioned this very recently, so it MAY soon be just CC only, but I hope not.
