I would like to become a one-on-one 'mentor' to a 'newbie' photographer who is interested in improving his/her work. I have only done this once before and it was successful, so I would like to try it again.
If you would like to try this out, please respond here with a link to your best photos... the photos can be here on dpchallenge or somewhere else.
Requirement: you must be able to chat on yahoo, aim, or icq.

John,
I would very much be interested in learning from you. I must admit that I am sill a true novice, but eager to learn and hard working. I currently use AOL IM, MSN, and ICQ, but can work with whatever you prefer. I've been a little busy the past two weeks but I plan on making more time for photography and this would be a great motivator. As for one of my best pictures.. Here goes:

I understand that I myself have no ribbons, but I have some wonderful ideas. I love to teach. I am on ICQ and AOL IM as well as Windows Messenger. Feel free to E-mail me. I would love to mentor someone.

Count me in if you have room for more. I'm a novice with a lot of learning to do, but am serious about doing so. I am on Yahoo IM currently, but can download ICQ if need be.
I can email a collection of pictures - they are scattered among many places...

| I'm interested in learning from a mentor. I'm a very new beginner, just started this summer. The only pictures I have online are the one's on this site in my profile, but I would love to learn more about this subject. I have AOL and MSN and use both frequently. |

I would like a mentor as well...my average here is going down, not up. Some of my favorite shots are in portfolio, (all new) and some on website. I joined dpc hoping for just such a happening. I mostly have posted images straight from the camera here, I don't know Photoshop beyond resizing and the unsharp mask...and I only own elements, not the full program. I am on Aol or MSN.

I might throw my name into this. I think I can probably help someone who is a real genuine beginner. I won't be making any Ansel Adams, but I might be able to coax someone off of square one. Interested parties PM me and I'll take a look at some of your stuff and see if I might be able to help. I'm not Setzler's caliber, but I've been here now for a year and 3 days. If nothing else, I sorta know what the masses are looking for.

I've been taking pictures for a long time but I think I could use some help. OK, maybe a LOT of help. My first two entries averaged only 4.8 or so. I'm slowly posting recent pictures from various trips online and, hopefully, I'll buckle down and post more this weekend. :D

I would love to be mentored by the masters BUT I dont want to add to the "Me Too" list.
I have a suggestion. How about the protege keeping a journal of the process with photographs and notes by the mentor?
This way the process benifits more number of people, is documented and lasting.
