I don't really know when the best time to post these is. They have nothing to do with my shot and anyway I'm sure 98% of the voting is done. If I wait until tomorrow, things tend to be lost in the glitz of the new challenge.
These were taken during an afternoon walking around Portland. I think I wound up walking three or so miles by the end. The first two were serious contenders for my entry, but I wanted something a little different. I think it may have been a bad choice as my interior shot will need a fairly good boost to make a 6.0 (sitting 5.92).
Comments always welcome. Post your own outtakes as well.

I didn't have any outtakes as my one shot was a spur of the moment one. |

Nice shots Jason! Can you see me waving out the window on the 9th floor? :)
I did a little walking around Portland too... on the dark side.

ooh, I didn't see that spire Mick. Where is it?
BTW, thanks for the comments. The white sky was exactly the reason I didn't enter the Portland shot. It wasn't blown out, just no detail in the overcast in that part of the sky.

I'm not sure. I was walking around with a friend and I had my eye stuck to the viewfinder most of the time. I think it's on the corner of 12th and Alder.

You know, I didn't realize the outtake thread policy had become official. Sorry. It does seem that outtake threads have gone somewhat by the wayside since we post them after the challenge is over.
I'm still quite sure I haven't altered anybody's mind here, but I'll wait until the challenge is officially over next time. |

I dont really care about the outakes. I am just cranky and I think I have may have cramps. Do they have Midol for men? |

Couple of images I was considering entering but in the end I chickened out. I'll get around to submitting something eventually...

I’m paying homage to the Photoshop gods in the first 3 shots! (Actually, these are all straight from camera, BUT, that is actually the Adobe building in downtown San Jose!). The last shot is a building around the corner.

My outtake was pretty much the same as my entry except for the orientation.

My entry:
The outtakes, from the same trip:
I'm not sure that any of these would have fared any better than 126th place.

The problem with Ruin Windows is that the sky was blown out in half the photo. I actually had a whole thread asking about methods for fixing that, which spurred yesterday's experiments with the indian paintbrush pictures... otherwise yeah, that would have totally been my pick.
