Challenge Theme: Mannerism
Description: Mannerism is an artistic style of the late 16th century characterized by distortion of elements such as scale and perspective.

I know this is great and should immediately be accepted but what do you all think? :P

I got a great deal on a 6 pack of confidence. I thought I'd try some out. ;)

Wow! Dusted this one off from 15 years ago. :-)

Description now reads:
""Mannerism" is a style of art that developed in the sixteenth century as a reaction to the classical rationality and balanced harmony of the High Renaissance; it is characterized by the dramatic use of space and light, exaggerated color, elongation of figures, and distortions of perspective, scale, and proportion. El Greco and Tintoretto are two major artists who were mannerists. You may (and should) google the topic for visual examples of mannerism. Your challenge is to bring this sensibility to your photograph."

… and now my brain hurts. GAH!

What Was Mannerist Art?

I've just watched a few videos on Mannerism, and the more I watch the more confused I get.

Ah. We've reached "circles of confusion". Wait - some people reserved that for Bokeh (read some of the old Bokeh challenge threads!) :-D
