My wife's (Penny) mother (Ruth Sanders - 75yrs old) passed away yesterday and she will be missed greatly. She had been in a local nursing home for several months now while she was having to deal with heart problems and cancer. It was agreed upon by Ruth and my wife that the cancer treatments be stopped because they were making her so ill and weak. At one time we thought she was going to be able to return home when they said her cancer was in remission, but apparently it came back much stronger in other areas. The good part was she passed away quietly and without to much pain and suffering.

We had been working hard on our patio/deck remodel in hopes that when it was completed Penny's mom would have a cool and quite place to visit when she came over.

As it is we feel she is in a much better place now with her husband Bill and with no pain and suiffering.

The calling hours will be Friday evening (May 19th) 6 – 8 pm at

Roselawn Funeral Home
1000 S. Highway 175
Seagoville, Texas 75159
(972) 287-2121

The funeral will be Saturday May 20th at 10:00 am at a small community cemetery in Seagoville, Texas.

I have really missed be active here at DPC; hopefully when things do settle down I will return and be able to join in on all the great activities here.

Robin,

I'm sorry to hear that. It's always hard to deal with things like this, but it's good to know that she passed away without much pain. May God bless you and your family in your hard times.

Robin,
May God bless your mother-in-laws soul and all the family during this trying time. My prays are with your family. If you would like click on the second picture in my signature. It's about Christ and what he does for us. So if you are interested listen to the 3min 40 clip, I think you will enjoy in this time of sorrow.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Seems like a tough past couple of days for DPCer's, my mother had a small stroke yesterday.

I'm really sorry to hear about your mother in law's death - it will be hard for your wife even though she was sick and a good age. My father died of cancer just about exactly a year ago and it is still hard for me and my Mom (member Tressider) - it still seems so difficult to realize he is gone for good.

The hardest time will be right after the funeral and things are over - that's when it suddenly hits you.

Many condolences to all of you. Peace be with you - peace is the greatest gift.

We can not thank you all enough for your kindess, support and prayers during our time of need. It was a beuatiful weekend with all the family together and going over old times and photos.

Some family members frowned on the fact that we were somewhat partying but that is what helps us remember the good times we had together and if one needs to shed a few tears then so be it.

The hard part now for my wife is returning to the everyday work routine. But she so far has handled it very well.

Now it is time for me to start scheduling my Dr appointments that I have been putting off for the past few months and that have kept me grounded for a short time.

Again thanks to all of you for your prayers and kindness.

Robin Sr.
