My wife gets a new digital camera for Christmas. I tell her to go get a card reader for "xd".

Radio silence............................

Well, then my wife went out to California, and she took her Olympus SP-350 with her and a 1 gig card. When she got the camera I told her not to use the camera as device to move photos to the computer. Common sense. Get a card reader....that reads XD and go from there.

Did she listen? -- Of course not, we are married.

When she gets back to VA., the Camera starts "acting up".

But of course.

After a week of being home, the no longer can take pictures..........

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Technology.

Seems, the brand new Olympus is having some problems. Long story short...the card is fried. Yes....Gone..... No longer to be able to be read by the camera or a PC.

Great.

Next Steps: Big Daddy must fix!

So I have to time travel...........back into the past....and capture photos that were taken a month ago............on a card that is unreadable by any OS.

Challenge: Get me my photos!

I format the card. Good idea right.............????????

And then I can start the recovery process? It became ugly.

After running four programs to recover the data, I came up with NOTHING.

I got 1.5MB thumb-nails. Which upon zooming yielding ugly .......horribly distorted images.

It was bad.

How did I solve?
