I cannot believe that I really did win the blue ribbon. I had hopes of finishing in the top 10, and didn't let myself dream about a ribbon. I have been absent from this site for two years and during that time I have worked very hard at developing my portrait photography, specializing in children and babies. Putting this photo in the contest was a last minute (just about literally!) thing, I had happened to take this photo and it fit, so I entered, not really hoping for much.
I'm so very pleased that so many people voted at all on my photo, and absolutely delighted with the wonderful comments. I've only entered 4 other times and they did not do anywhere nearly as well.
Thank you all again, from the bottom of my heart! This truly made my day and brightened up an otherwise sad week.

| Congrats on your ribbon win. It was a really nice picture. Someday I hope I will be able to say the same, but I am not holding my breath. It was well deserved, and I am sure more will come your way in the future. |
