Hello everyone. Just posting some pics of some of my amateur work with the camera and a source of light, wanted your opinions and any comment to better up these sorts of pics:

This one I made using a flashlight and having all lights off in the living room. I set my camera for 30 seconds exposure with an aperture of f22.

Same settings, different material. I used two lighters for this baby.

Same settings, but I used my nightlamp in this case, and the bugger's so bright that's why you can finally see the living room (and me ;)).

Comment and enjoy :)

First image was my fav.
Another amateur here... Interested to know what was the source of light to draw this ?

Nice job ;)

Hey, thanks :).

Don't forget that even the pros here began as amateurs, so there's still hope for us yet!, nyuk nyuk...

In answer to your query, for the first picture I used a small flashlight, 2nd one I used 2 lighters and the 3rd one I used my nightlamp (I actually put on the picture's caption what I used :)).

Salutations!

Funny because I actually need to do this for an assignment in my photography class, and by seeing how the flashlight one came out, I will try that one!
Thanks!

I created this for the "what" challenge awhile back.

Great post, I love painting with light! I have a few shots in my portfolio:

My only suggestion is to have a subject that your light painting will interact with. It's seemed to work for me in the past. ;-) The exception to that would be what rwaudio posted. Beautiful and symmetrical wins that as well.
