A bunch of friends (including Maguero) went sightseeing to the North region of Costa Rica, this are some of the shots I took.

Not exactly what I expected to see in an "Easter Holiday" thread. : )

I especially like the volcano -- it has a very "painterly" feel to it, and would probably look great printed on canvas.

I went a week through the desert southwest and shot a bunch, these aren't my favorites, but the first I've had a chance to go through and work on:

Thanks! Yours as well. These were some quick-edit ones. I'm taking a bit more time on some of my favorites.

I recognize your shots from Taos. My husband and I were there on Saturday (day before Easter) - wish we wouldh have know you were down near the St. Francis church - we could have met you there.

We live just 65 miles from Taos. We went down on Saturday for me to go to the two yarn shops there.

I was in Taos on Tuesday, and it was beautiful! You are lucky! I was dissapointed the Taos Pueblo was closed for Lent. I wanted to take some shots of the adobe church there. But we did the gorge bridge though.

Oops, posted in the 4th pub already, but these are from Easter weekend, some of them anyway, haven't finished reviewing my shutter-happiness.

It's always closed during lent. The cemetery at the Pueblo is really photogenic, too. The only bad part of taking pictures at the Peublo is that you have to pay to get in. For me, my husband and my camera it is $25.

I wish I had know you were going to be there - I could have come down and we could have had lunch or something and did some picture taking together. It is only an hour drive for me to Taos - my husband and I go all the time. My son lived there for years, he just recently moved.

We weren't sure we were going until the weather cleared up. We woke up to rain in Santa Fe that morning, but it cleared up pretty quick. I wanted to get up to the pueblo to try to recreate the adobe church shot Ansel did there, and possibly other pueblo shots. Oh well, I know now if I ever go again not to go at Lent. From what I understand though he also shot the St. Francis adobe church that I got a few of.

We also went to another old church in Chimayo on the way up from Santa Fe. They have the "healing dirt" there. That one was pretty as well, and also the cathedral in SF with the "mysterious staircase" (Laredo I think is it's name). I'll post some more in my 'folio here in the next few days. I really liked Taos, it's what I expected Santa Fe to be more like.

It's the Loretto Chapel that has the staircase. I like that old church in Chimayo, too. I'd love to know how the dirt keeps replacing itself.

Santa Fe is so built up now, it's just like any other kind of large city - only the old downtown part is still really like the old southwest. Taos is really unique - it never got built up so it retains it's really old southwest quality.

The little church that Ansel did on the Pueblo has changed quite a lot. Yes, he did take the Saint Francis Church, too.

You probably drove by where Ansel took Moonrise Hernandez on the way from Santa Fe to Taos - it's totally unrecognizable now. You can find the church and cemetery but there are so many modular homes you can barely tell it's the same place. I tried to redo that for the Ansel Adams Challenge.

I shot one digital image this easter, i spent over 6 hours driving to find the perfect spot where I had some white puffy clouds and blue sky, and I wanted a river and a mountain to go with the sky.

I shot 1 roll of film in B/W but it will be developed next week

this is the shot I spent 6 hours looking for

Went to Tennessee to do some work around my mom's house, and took many photo breaks.
