| I'm just writing to get peoples views as to what they consider candid to be. I've looked at the previous candid challenges, and it always seems to be pictures of "humans". Can candid be anything else??? |

i think it can be, at least if the cat doesn't look at you while shooting her :-)

Candid can be an animal, too, but most people think that real candid photos are about humans.
The nature of a candid rather depends on the circumstances of the photo, not always on that the model looks in your direction or not. Usually the model of a candid does not know that you are photographing him. Though, not all candid-alike photos are real candids where the model does not look at you. If I ask my friend to feed the zebra at the ZOO, set up the camera and wait until the best moment, that's actually not a real candid, but it looks like as it was.
I think we will have a lot of candid-alike photos in this challenge. |

Panos - I was wondering the same thing and found this recent discussion thread quite helpful. |
