I have an Xd card which I put in an xd slot on my pc...when I open the file to view my pics, I always have these files with the .tmp extension. If I try to delete them I am prompted that it is a system file...can I delete these? They end up staying in my default folder and there are quite a few now.

Thanks in advance

Yeah, you can delete 'em. In general, you're better off reformatting your card in the camera after each use anyway, and that will get rid of them straightaway :-)

I use a small freeware program from G-Lock Software to scrub all .tmp files. You can download it here: G-Lock Software's download page. It's the last one at the bottom of the page.
