Anyone got any comments on these please? This is my first excursion into fast shutter speed liquid stuff!

If any experts out there feel like giving me some tips I'll be grateful. Thanks.

Hi Jon, theres some really good shots in there, though my fav has to be Deep Impact Over, the B+W looks great and the 'glassy' qualtiy of the actual splash looks great.

Nice job on them all.

Add - The BG is a nice choice too... is this into a pot of water? Also, what is the shutter speed used?

Thanks for the feedback Mitonski. I'll check your work out later.

I worked in Shutter Speed Priority mode which meant the exposures varied - I used 1/1000 for all of them. I shot everything outside in daylight and dropped the ball into both a non-stick frying pan and a red bucket of water. Lots of fun!

I finally got used to the timing of dropping the ball so I didn't need to wade through hundreds of shots. Could do with release cable though!!

I was having trouble relating the golf ball with the water, you can tell I'm not a golfer. I like the shape of the splash in "Impact" and feel it would be best if the ball had better focus. Good job.

Did you use fill flash?

I did use flash on a couple of them if the exposure was looking gloomy but it did flatten things out on the ball a bit. Apart from water hazards there's absolutely no hidden connection with golf balls and the water! BTW I'm no mean golfer - I could easily add a few miles to any course while ruining a good walk!

Here's another with better focus on the ball.

Golf ball and water? Happens to me everytime I drink too much on the course. I really like the last one. Very dynamic.

this is excellent...

I like the B&W one most, I would be courious to see those shots from a little lower angle... :รพ

Good work!

My fav view of the liquid is the second one but the golfball there was spoiled by the flash. Could you try that again with a lower amount of light? The others are interesting too, esp B&W.
