I knew that our 50 degree weather over the weekend was a precursor to something big. Mother Nature is such a tease. But I think this was our biggest snowfall all winter.

But then this morning I got up and it was sunny and gorgeous out! Everything looked so pretty. Which partly made up for the fact that it took me over half an hour to dig my car out/chip the ice off.

More photos of my yard/neighborhood/lovely peach house here. I don't need critiques, these just snapshots...just wanted to share!

What's all that white stuff on everything? I think there's something wrong with your camera.

Just wait until you get back to the U.P. - we got 16 inches of that white stuff yesterday!

Damn, that's a lot of snow MK! Did ya get out there for some fun shoveling? :-) Looks COLD!!! Reminds me of why I live in LA.

I actually got about almost an inch of snow here on Saturday, which is quite unusual for here. We get snow a few times a year in the mountains above my house, but never down to 2000 feet where I'm at.

Blue and white look so beautiful together. Good idea to go out and make images before the snow got trampled on or all dirty.

There was indeed shoveling but I don't know if I'd say "fun." It was really heavy snow and just doing the porches and walks was pretty killer. We ended up going to my parents' house and loading their snowblower in the truck, bringing it over to our house and then returning it.

I would have thought that MK simply looked at snow and it burned itself off in shame...

East coast has been hot hot hot these past few days. I can't wait for summer!

Winter here has been pretty good... it was never really cold and there were a lot of warm days. We didn't get more than an inch of snow all season.

this is probably a stupid question....but when you dig your car out...I'm assuming the roads are still loaded with snow too....can you just take off driving or do you have to have a 4x4?

Not a stupid question. :) They plow pretty quickly around here so it's usually not too bad, although my neighborhood seems to be last (or never) on the list so it can be rough around our streets. My car is fairly low to the ground so it's crazy trying to get out sometimes!
