I'm looking for a nice template that would also allow people to buy prints. I guess it would have to be hooked up to paypal. I searched around but not too sure what I looking for besides if the template looks good or not. I also want the template to allow me to upload photos easily and maybe even zipped folders for many photos at once. Anyone have an idea of what I need or where I might could find it...or maybe just some better keywords to put in google so I can do it. I thought I was pretty specific but kept getting the same kind of site with the same templates.
Thanks
Clint

What platform are you getting from your host? Windows or Linux/Unix based.

Windows is a lot of .ASP/.ASP .net

Linux/Unix is usually PHP based

That might cut it in half...

Keyword for the paypal thing would be "Shopping Cart"

This site has a few good ones-

check photoshelter.com

//www.photoshelter.com

It is a great solution for archiving/searching your photo database and ultimately selling you photo's.

Of course, you'll have to get a bare bones site constructed but you can integrate your photoshelter database into your website.

I designed my site in Dreamweaver which took me about a weekend having no previous knowlege of the program.(with help from lynda.com) Then I linked my website and my photoshelter database.

From their frontpage: "PhotoShelter™ is the only online archival solution aimed at Professional Photographers for all your digital images. No more external hard drives or libraries of CDs. Upload your RAW and JPEG files, categorize, and make your archive searchable from your website. And best of all, tools to sell your images directly to your customers with NO commissions."

And no...I'm not affiliated with either site.

I can't design anything...and I don't want bare bones...I want it to have a certain style...a tad dark would look good.

I like this one //templates.bigwebmaster.com/swish_templates/yzxxv-dynamic-swish-site-10224.html

I almost bought this one the other day...still thinking about it except note the the window is 6x4...4x6s would look quite small in there. Also note that if you get a swish template you will need Swishmax ($99) to make big changes.

Dynamic swish like the one you mentioned could be done with coding but you wouldn't be able to do anything to the physical layout. Pictures and Verbaige are all done through text files.

I'm learning swish myself, doing it by getting swishmax and a swishsite ($117.00 for both) (work in progress in my sig)...I'm not crazy bout the layout but once I get this swish stuff down I will go dark and grungy.

If you like the swish stuff check out //www.swishzone.com they have templates under swishsites.

I looked up photograpy site with shopping cart on //www.dogpile.com and found this interesting place imagedisplayworks where they have templates but also will manage your pics and shopping cart as well.
