I just received a remote cord I bought on Ebay for Nikon D200. The Adidt M1 cost me a total of 14$ including shipping. Probably not as nice as Nikon remote cord, but it do the job just fine.
Now I can use the mirror lockup function with the D200. Without a remote cord, you have to depress the shutter release once to lock the mirror up and a second time to open the shutter; which beat the purpose of using the mirror lockup in the first place.
They make one for Canon camera too.

In Canon cameras you have to have the timer on to make the mirror lock up work as it should be, for example the Canon 20D you press the shutter, curtain opens, then it counts 2 sec and then takes the picture.
