How do all of you sign up onto fredmiranda.com? It seems like a great photography forum that I would like to join. The problem is when I try to sign up using my yahoo email this is what it tells me:

"In order to avoid spam, duplicate registration and fraudulent accounts, FM forums does not allow registration from 'free' or internet based email addresses such as Yahoo, Hotmail, etc..."

This is the only email address I have, is there a diferent I can use thats free and will be accepted?
I couldn't find any way to contact the site administrators and ask them, so this is the next place I thought to ask the question.

I don't think so. Who are you using as your ISP? Usually you get an email account with internet service.

Work email?
My ISP gives me 7 email addresses...i don't bother with the freebie ones - I had a hotmail account at one point and it got more spam the day i activated it than I think i get in 6 months on my 7 regular addresses.

I used the one that came with my father's ISP. He has cable in Canada and I've had an account there for like 6 years They provide 5 free email addresses. Incidentally, I get more spam on my 6 yr old ISP address than I do on my 3 year old Yahoo account.

Hotmail just plain sucks.

I use it specifically for spam and if I have to provide an address to a company I don't trust.

Fredmiranda is trustworthy tho. I don't know what else you could do. Maybe your local library has an email address.

I find it messy to have too many though. At one time, I had more than 10 all registered to my name, but I haven't checked most of them for over a year. I stick to 4 (including gmail, which I rarely use now because I don't like their interface)

I am using Bresnan for an ISP. I don't have an email address with them right now, but did send them an email asking about one.

My yahoo email is not that bad about spam, I get a lot of it, but it all goes into the bulk folder which I empty out every day without looking through it.
