I was looking at the large numbers from KY and was wondering if anyone is interested in having a get together. I think it would have to be spring since our weather is so unpredictable lately, but I was thinking we could meet somewhere like Natural Bridge, Red river Gorge or Breaks Interstate Park or somewhere secenic. What do you think?

I'd like to but I only get to see my wife and daughter in Georgetown on the weekends so I would have to know well in advance so that I can plan around work and or the family. I want to get back to Natural bridge and have never been to the other locations you mentioned so if possible

I would love it...plus the military will be moving me to who knows where in August so I'm not sure when I'll get back down to KY for another 3 years...really hate this job.

I'll mark this thread to watch in case it does come about but feel free to pm me too.

I am living in Bolivia at the moment but I am from KY and I will be back home May 4-15. If you have the GTG either of those weekends, I'm there!

I know that the weekend of the 15th is out, my brother graduates from college on the 16th and I will be in NC celebrating with the family. But that first looks good to me. If it is nice enough, my dh climbs and maybe he can meet his climbing buddies in the gorge that weekend or at Natural Bridge. I have only been to Natural Bridge once and sadly, it was raining. I would love to go back and do some shooting. Also, the Gorge should be beautiful at that time. Also, would be a good chance to get lots of shots of climbers if you want to shoot extremish sports.

This could work out. Woohoo.

Which branch of the military. DH and I are both prior service AF.

I would love to GTG at any of the places mentioned but my vote is for Breaks. wheres the other two located? Ive never been to any of the places listed, I really need to get out more)Im open anytime. medical reasons will keep me from any climbing or extream sports so Ill just be the designated photographer...lol.Ill let )crystaldm know about this and have her post too(tho Im sure if i go she will too)

I'm thinking you should've spelled out Kentucky when starting this thread. I'm easily distracted by things that involve KY.

I would love to GTG
I live about 15 miles from Natural Bridge, and my son is in a wheelchair and It would be much easer for me to go their than anywhere else. Really looking forward to it!

You mentioned places in KY (er, excuse me KENTUCKY!!!); sounds interesting and I may be interested. I'm in IL, but from Cincinnati and get there several times a year to visit family. As far as Kentucky, I'm really only familiar with the Newport-Covington area!

natural bridge would be a fantastic scenic spot for a gtg,i'v been there several times it is a great photo opertunity.

Is Natural Bridge midway for most of us? Or at least within driving distance? For me it's about 2 1/2 - 3 hours away, but very doable.

Anybody else interested? So far, its me, woodsey, Diana, woohoopepper, sabphoto and smilebig4me1x. Is that it? We can get a date together and then a location. My hubby is up for it, especially if we can do it where he and his climbing buddies can do their thing.

Are there any dates that will not work? I know we talked about the first weekend in May. Is that good or do we need to look at another date?

Absolutely, the more the merrier. Just don't bring any of that Hoosier gear into Kentucky, I can't promise you you will be safe, LOL.

I have to work May 6th but with this much notice I should be able to find someone to swap with...I'll add it to my calendar. You can most likly add my wife (non DP participant) if that is ok, she likes to shoot but doesn't think she is any good (and needs a new camera but don't we all lol).
